Princess Chia: I'm 4 years old!
Do you like my hair? It's a bow that mummy did. She also did a bow in Mia's hair, but not today because its my birthday. She watched a video and did it in my hair with hairspray!
(Mum: Here's a smaller version of the bow in Amelie's hair, but as you can see, her hair is bit too short for this style. With Mia's bow I used hairspray when it was done, and it was falling out and a mess by the end of the day. As Chia is a bit more active, I used hair wax, a little gel for the baby hairs, and hairspray at the end. It hardly budged at all.)

The Princesses: Toneri Shogako Undokai
We went to Mia's old school for their Undokai & to see our friends. We had yummy obentos, ate icecreams & snacks and watched the whole school.
An undokai is a sports day. This site has a fairly good explanation & photos, however, they seem to be most often held in spring or autumn.
We also got to see cuttie-pie Kiyopi! Amelie was happy to spend time with her.
It was so long, so Chia & Amelie kept busy by playing with dolls.

And then it started to RAIN and POUR and we had to HIDE under the mat! We got all wet and it was so fun!

Princess Mia: A happy day at Everyday park
We went for a walk to "Everyday Park". We call it everyday park because we go there everyday. Here we are on the way. All the houses in Kashiwa Village have gardens and red bricks around them.
Here we all are, walking through the forest. We need our sticks to keep us safe from the animals that might live here.
We found a hill to climb, but Chia and Amelie got all muddy.

Mum's post: A great website
I meant to post this months ago, but better late than never. Check it out:
Early Learning at home
Early Learning at home (Youtube channel)
BTW, someone was asking about the games I've linked to on the sidebar and I want to state that our general rule for the girls to play computer games is: occasionally, after all studies (both Christian and school) are complete, no more than 30 mins at a time, with an adult keeping an eye on them.
They also play other educational games from time to time, but really, why sit your kids in front of a PC for hours clicking a mouse or keyboard when there are so many other things for them to do?

Princess Mia: U. Zeb
Did you know that U.Zeb makes funny videos? He is also an artist and he also can sing inspiration songs. I like his art a lot and I know when he draws something in the Gen-Ups or Prospectors.

Mum's post: Happy 4th Birthday Chia!
Four years ago I watched the sun rise over these rice paddy's
...while reflecting on the beauty of this little one
Nanni came all the way from Australia for your birth
Nanni came all the way from Australia for your birth
You showed signs of character right away, and you always seemed to have a secret that you snickered at in your sleep
Big sister was thrilled that you'd finally arrived

Pretty soon we found out what those snickers and smiles were all about...
(if you're wondering, the next 4 pix were taken in the space of about 20 mins, and yes the mess is on the pillows, bedhead, sheets, curtains, and carpet)
We never knew when your mood would change (you'd hold your head up for hours like this & yell bloody murder from 2 days old)
And like all babies, you were cute as a button when sleeping (something you didn't care much for from around 2 months old)
Happy 4th Birthday Chia!
You are full of life, bring joy to our lives and you're also...
Thoughtful
Once Chia has decided to do something she doesn't give up easily. She also manages to laugh at almost anything & brings joy into our lives. We love you Chia -Muah!
She also loves doing silly, crazy things. Check out this game she invented using a ball & umbrella. :)
And here she is enjoying pizza at Shakey's. Daddy & I had some business to do so we took her along for the day. We rarely spend time with just Chia, so she was very happy for all the attention.
