Princess Mia: Milk carton house

This just looks like a milk carton doesn't it?

I bet you didn't think it was this did you!

One day mummy showed me this craft on another blog and I thought it would be nice to make it sometime. Today we were all home cos we have colds and I thought "Mummy is so busy, so I'll just make it with the girls" and I did.

See how the girl and the food stands up? Do you want to know how I did it?

I taught Chia how to do it too and now us 3 sisters, Amelie, Chia and I, have our own houses and the girls made their own dolls too. We didn't have cereal boxes so I used milk cartons 'cos we have lots of those.

Chia found these paper scraps when she was sweeping the floor. Do you see what it says?

It's "U"! She found it all by herself!

Tomorrow we're going to play with our houses, and maybe you can make your own too, it's so easy and fun. I used tape 'cos I didn't want to use glue, but you can if you want.
My nose is running so I have to go to sleep now. Bye bye!

Mum's post: Baking with Amelie

Goes a little something like this:

So I'm making dinner late and I have a girl who really wants to help out, but nothing for her to do, so she offers to bake a cake.
Ok.
Get out the recipe, bowls, and basic ingredients.
She mashes bananas, pours, mixes, tastes and mixes more.
She is fabulous.

While the food is burning on the stove I want to record this fabulous moment.
"Smile Amelie!"
And here's what I get:

Yup, that's her. Fantastic Amelie, super girl wonder and super hero helper.

P.S. The cake was great.

Recipe here:

Kari’s Fab Breakfast & Snack Banana Cake

1 cup mashed ripe banana (2-3 bananas)

¾ cups sugar

1 ¾ cups flour

½ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt

Pinch of ground nutmeg

1/3 cup vegetable oil

½ cup milk

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup chopped walnuts

In a small bowl mix bananas & sugar, let stand for 10 mins. While you’re waiting, Pre-heat oven, grease & flour baking tin.

In a large bowl mix oil, milk, eggs, & vanilla. Add banana mix.

Sift dry ingredients together into wet stuff. Mix until just combined.

Quickly stir in nuts.

Spread batter into pan and bake 40-60 mins at 180 C.

I double this recipe and bake in a bunt tin for 60 mins. Good luck.

The Princesses: Snnnnow!

It snowed yesterday! We woke up and everything was white!

After breakfast we put on our snow gear and made a snowman in the yard.

After a little bit he melted into a mud man.

We called him Mr. Mudd. :D

Princess Alisa: Merry Christmas!

I ate, and I ate, and I ate! It is my firm belief, after many years of Christmas dinners, that Christmas is all about eating and drinking, and eating again.

It was a great day. There was turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, taco wraps, salad, trifle, brownies, icecream, and more.
Sadly we could not eat it all, but tomorrow we'll start on the cheesecake, sweetpotato casserole, and leftover trifle, turkey, gravy, taco wraps and anything else I can get my hands in!

I crashed out while mummy wrapped gifts tonight. True story.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!

Princess Chia: The House of Pox

We were all sick
And very sad because we all had chicken pox and mummy said we can visit daddy who was in hospital when we're all better.

Then Amelie drew this picture of us girls with chicken pox!

See you later!
