Tree branches + paint = 30 mins of quiet concentration and an exercise in dexterity.Don't mind a bit of paint, it washes off.We worked on this a little at a time for several days.It takes little hands a while to get in all the small places.They loved it and regularly scour the parks for suitable twigs.

As you may know, I have the mumps. Amelie desperately wants to be sick and tries to convince me she is on a regular basis. Its not unusuall to find her lying in my bed, covers pulled up to her chin, eyes closed, & laying perfectly still. We made an Advent calendar to count down the days till Christmas. Ours is made from toilet paper rolls, cereal boxes, electrical tape, cooking string and stickers, because we didn't have enough toilet paper rolls.
